One by one...

There are several reasons behind my long hiatus:
  1. My old secondary school friend visited me for a week and I was busy showing her around.
  2. Spent a nice relaxing weekend at the Blue Mountains with Will to celebrate our anniversary (5 years!). I have no idea it has been that long.
  3. Had a few goodbyes to say to best mates of mine in Sydney.
  4. Had to help out a mate who is kinda in the dumps right now.
  5. The lack of writing juices.
Point number 3 has been pretty tough. One by one, they are all gone. The last one left today. Sad to say, I am feeling a little lost without them. There will be no more dirty giggly girly over the phone chats, loud and boisterous gatherings and silly comments for awhile. One left for London, another to Toronto and a bestie left for Asia. I am happy for them all and they have all achieved a goal in their life. This has made me think about all the good times that were spent with them and all the memories that we have shared. This time also marks a new chapter in each of our lives. I am very amazed at the way that we have all grown in our different ways yet managed to still stay as good friends. Wishing them all well and dandy and one day, we shall all meet again. Good luck gals. You know who you are.

For those you who are not on Facebook, here are some treasured pictures of what has happened over the weeks.

Friends and Sundays

Had an excellent night last night. Will organised a get together with a couple of mates and so we met up with a few people (aka Sarah, Jin, Nick, Brendan, Karen [Brendan's gf] and Mic [Brendan's friend from the UK]) for beer and steak at paddy's brewery. Check them out at http://www.paddysbrewery.com/.

Few of our mates got lost. One thought that Homebush (where good ol' Paddys is located) is after Parramatta. Another took a cab from the city, thinking that Paddy's just down the road from the city. Technically it is, however, it's a long way "down the road". It was really funny and we had a good laugh at those who rarely venture past Broadway....hehehe.

Paddys serves the best steak in town. For $15.00, you get a huge rump steak. It is so big that that Will and I struggle to have one each. However, Sarah was a champ last night, she went all the way and so did Nick! Well done people! The guys at the bistro also serve an endless supple of salads, turkish bread, tea and coffee. It was great and not to mention the home brews that they serve...yummy.

It was a fantastic night and most of us didn't leave till 11pm. It's great having friends who can chat with and just debate about silly things. =)
